I just started my wine blog, Vinously Spe...so true! I just started my wine blog, Vinously Speaking, a little over a year ago to keep my friends and family back home in Texas in the loop with what I was doing here in France. At the time I was preparing to apply to the Masters (MSc) Wine Business program at the Burgundy School of Business/ESC in Dijon, France. I got in to the program and kept writing about my wine adventures, but in a way that would make sense and be enjoyable to my friends and family back home. The last thing I am sure they wanted to do was read a boring blog! And after a few months I got a few comment from people I didn't know who sad they enjoyed my blog for its humor and easy-to-learn aspect on wine. I decided to track readers via a stat-counter...a lord and behold my numbers were growing in countries all over the world. Needless to say I decided to put a but more efforts in by starting twitter, Facebook accounts for the blog! After all the efforts I have done for a little over the last 9 months, I went from 5 regular readers (I knew) to now averaging about 25 new visitor clicks a day! Incredible! Just goes to show you this online wine thing is something! I am about to begin the thesis portion of my master in wine business and will be doing it on the topic of online/social media in the wine business/world. Thanks for your thoughts and this post! Look forward to having a new blog to follow! Hope you will check mine out too =) Cheers! The Ceci Sipperhttp://vinouslyspeaking.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
